Rethinking an authentication app
Project role: UX Design
Exploring a desktop solution
The project team wanted to explore developing a browser-based version of their mobile app. Users were required to complete a long sign-up process in the app and then return to their desktop computer. User testing found users often struggled with the channel shift and did not understand they needed to return to their computer.
I worked in a team of two to create a high-fidelity HTML prototype for user testing. We started with paper prototyping to develop the user flows and basic UI elements. Once done we progressed to wireframing in Axure. We collaborated with the designer responsible for the product branding and built a high-fidelity HTML prototype. These techniques allowed us to take the product from a high-level concept to a forty-page, fully functional prototype in less than six weeks.
